For the first time ever, a genuine Australian stock saddle is being built in America. It comes from the Australian Stock Saddle Company of Malibu, California, the first to import these saddles over 30 years ago. It is called the USA POLEY and is built in California on American leather with Merino sheepskin on the underside. The aluminum and timber tree is custom fit to wither tracings supplied by the buyer. The seat is web-strung. The horn is launched forward at 45 degrees and has a top that is 3 1/4" in diameter. The rigging is Western and the lightweight fenders hang off a stirrup suspension bar that is in the dressage position. Suede on the seat and knee pads are optional. The cantle is 5" deep and the knee pads are 4" high. Allow up to four months for delivery. Cost: $1,795. Horn adds $100.
