Greetings!

Two weeks ago Grace took custody of 36 horses. In April of this year, Grace also took custody of 20 horses from this same property. As you all know, Grace is not an investigating organization and we will always honor the request of the agencies involved when they tell us what we can and cannot discuss about a case. This especially holds true when it involves the safety of the animals. Now that all of the horses are off that property, we can disclose that it was one of THE worst scenes we have ever witnessed. OVER TWENTY THREE HORSES WERE FOUND DEAD ON THE PROPERTY.

With this recent rescue of Grace having saved the lives of an additional 36 horses, this brings the total number of horses saved by Grace this year to almost 200! And the total number of animals rescued by Grace THIS YEAR to nearly 400!

As you also may know, the price of hay has sky-rocketed and there is NO end in site! Prices continue to escalate and this is a very scary time for horse owners. The people that were barely hanging on are being dramatically affected by the hay prices. We have NEVER received so many calls from people pleading for our help.

Grace must find a way to buy hay in larger volumes in order to stay ahead of this hay crisis and continue our mission. We have the opportunity to have an entire truck and trailer load of hay delivered on Thursday. While this load will last only one month, buying in this volume dramatically reduces our cost. With enough donations we can secure this reduced price for the next six months - hopefully allowing Grace to get through this crisis.

The cost for this is $7,000.00 or about $14.00 per bale. We are asking and pleading with each and every one of you, please help us raise the money for this trailer load of hay!

Please help us to fill the barn. Donate $5.00 - $10.00 - $15.00 - $50.00 - $100.00 towards our "hay drive" and help feed the horses! If each one of you donates a bale of hay, we can fill the barn for the rest of the year!

Pass this information on to anyone you know and help us continue our mission: To rescue and rehabilitate abused and neglected animals. We will be posting on Facebook and on our website the names of those that have helped "fill the barn," as well as putting each donor's name on a "hay bale" cut out and placed throughout the office and classroom.
