Event Details

What can horses teach people about emotions? How do horses function as “living bio-feedback” to facilitate humans to move from merely surviving, to truly thriving? In this workshop you’ll learn how Equine-Facilitated Psychotherapy & Learning – EFP/L—changes the brain, helping people rebuild their neural networks for emotion. Gentle, progressive exercises with horses assist people to identify the early stages of “Blue-ribbon emotions”- brain circuits for FEAR, PANIC, RAGE and also for PLAY, SEEKING, and CARE. Horses show people that through awareness they have a great deal of choice about which emotions they experience and cultivate. Enjoy more time in PLAY and SEEKING.

Note: This workshop approaches EFP/L from both a cognitive and an experiential level. Participants will learn about EFP/L and how it works; they will also experience EFL to find out that it works. This workshop is best for professionals and others who are interested in finding out more about EFP/L and who might be interested in incorporating horse work into their own profession in some way.

Cost: $650/person with lunch provided
