The public campground is closed to the public at this time of year but NATRC has access to the riding trails/campground for this event! Pot luck dinner Friday evening and BBQ dinner Sat. (add’l fee-on reg. form. Trails consist of fire roads and single tracks.
NATRC Competitive Trail Ride information for Region 1 is available at www.natrcregion1.org (view prior ride pictures at this site). The Lake Mendocino entry form (PDF) will be downloadable from this site. NATRC (North American Trail Ride Conference) offers sanctioned trail competitive trail rides throughout the U.S. Rides are based on condition & soundness of the horse & the rider’s performance not speed. Riders travel a pre-timed course over a variety of terrain. Pace and distance are determined by the division entered. The various classes allow competition for riders at different experience levels. The attention to horse care, good horsemanship, safety & camaraderie has made competitive trail riding one of the nation’s most popular horse activities. First time competitors are always welcome. New rider information is available from Linda Thomason, Region One Outreach coordinator (510) 651-9470 firstname.lastname@example.org
Volunteers are welcome too!
