Round Valley NATRC Competitive Trail Ride
NATRC sanctioned Competitive Trail Ride, June 6-7. Two day ride Open and CP, 1 day ride for Novice division. Trails consist of fire roads and singles tracks, taking the rider from valley floors to over 1985’ elevations with great views of the Los Vaqueros water shed, the Bay, the Sierra Range and the surrounding delta. On top, there is lots of flat terrain to trot your horse. There is a mixed wild flower flora and trees and lots of wild life including Golden Eagles. Friday night is a Pot Luck dinner, Sat. night there is a catered Mexican dinner (additional fee on reg. form) and Sun. a free lunch is offered to riders and volunteers before you head home. the ride is limited to 40 riders due to limited camping space at the ride site. Register EARLY. Campsite is in the SHADE, water troughs for horses provided, but riders/volunteers MUST bring their own drinking water. Regional Park bathrooms are available for the ride camp.

NATRC (North American Trail Ride Conference) offers sanctioned trail competitive trail rides throughout the U.S. Rides are based on condition & soundness of the horse & the rider’s performance not speed. Riders travel a pre-timed course over a variety of terrain. Pace and distance are determined by the division entered. The various classes allow competition for riders at different experience levels. The attention to horse care, good horsemanship, safety & camaraderie has made competitive trail riding one of the nation’s most popular horse activities. First time competitors are always welcome.
